Originally from Singapore, Raised in Malaysia,
Now living in North Carolina.
I moved to California in 2008 to study Biotechnology and later earned a master’s in Genetics from Cal Poly Pomona. Somewhere between long hours in the lab, yoga became my way to stay grounded—and a way to find community while living far from home.
Eventually, I left research to teach yoga full-time which then led me to web design.
During my time as a full time yoga teacher, I served as an Assistant Director for the Yoga Off East Teacher Training and lead Teacher Trainings at CorePower Yoga.
In 2020, I came across Skill in Action online and haven’t looked back since. Now, I co-facilitate Skill in Action workshops and design websites for yoga teachers, studios, therapists, and wellness professionals who are actively reshaping the culture of care.
For me, wellness is inseparable from the cultural roots and history.
This belief shapes everything I do—from the way I teach to the way I design. And every year, I co-host the Malaysia Cultural Retreat with my long-time friend Hui Li, inviting people to experience the richness of my culture firsthand.
